Installation & Bridge Setup

Complete guide to installing ScoreScrape and creating your first bridge connection.

What You'll Need

Make sure you have everything ready before starting:

A ScoreScrape account and valid subscription
A compatable Scoreboard Controller
A computer able to run the ScoreScrape Bridge software
The correct hardware You read the Pre-Check page, right?

Setup Process

Create Your Account

  1. Visit our sign up page
  2. Enter your email and create a secure password
  3. Check your email to verify your account
  4. Log into your dashboard

Create Your First Bridge

Set up the connection between your scoreboard and ScoreScrape:

  1. Navigate to your dashboard
  2. Click "Create Bridge"
  3. Enter your bridge details:
    • Bridge Name: Give it a descriptive name (e.g., "Main Court")
    • Scoreboard Type: Select your manufacturer
    • IP Address: Enter your scoreboard's IP address
    • Port: Enter the communication port
    • Update Frequency: How often to check for scores (recommended: 1 second)
  4. Click "Test Connection" to verify
  5. Once successful, click "Save Bridge"
  6. Activate your bridge

Download Graphics Package

  1. In your dashboard, click on your active bridge
  2. Click "Download Graphics" button
  3. Extract the ZIP file
  4. Follow the integration guide for your streaming software

Best Practices

Naming Your Bridge

Use descriptive names that indicate location or purpose:

"Main Court - Basketball"
"Field 1 - Soccer"
"Bridge 1"
"Scoreboard"

Multiple Bridges

You can create multiple bridges for different courts, fields, or scoreboards. Each bridge counts toward your subscription limit. Plan accordingly for your venue's needs.
